Mr. Inaba is President & CEO of MCVP. He has over 17 years experience in the bio-pharmaceutical and organic chemical industries in both business development and as a venture capital investor. Mr. Inaba joined Mitsui Ventures in 2001 as Investment Partner. Since then, he has worked on venture capital investments both in the US and Japan and the business development of the portfolio firms. His focus was on seed technologies originated in Japan and he invested into 13 companies serving as director of 5 companies including Actimis Pharmaceuticals, CanBas Co.,Ltd. and AnaeroPharma Sciences, Inc. He and his team generated over 30% gross IRR.
Mr. Inaba began his career in the organic chemical industry at Mitsui & Co. Ltd. in 1991, where his primary responsibility was business development including technology licensing and investment decisions for product manufacturing and marketing in the field. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Kyoto University and an MBA from European University in Lisbon. He is a CFA charter holder.

Mr. Olesiak is an Investment Partner with MCVP, focused on investments in the biotech and life sciences space. Most recently Mr. Olesiak was a Director with Cambridge Pharma Consultancy where he worked with pharmaceutical and biotech clients to address issues of market access for new products and technologies, to ensure consideration of the commercial value of products in strategic planning and to guide development of pricing and reimbursement strategies specific to the dynamics of different country markets. Prior to Cambridge, Mr. Olesiak spent close to ten years in Japan, initially with Genzyme Japan and later with SRL Incorporated. During his tenure in Japan he had responsibilities spanning business development, corporate strategy, contract negotiation and corporate partnering. Mr. Olesiak is a cum laude graduate in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard University and holds an MBA from the Johnson School of Cornell University.

Mr. Takeuchi is an Investment Partner at MCVP with a focus on information technology (especially software related) investments. His previous experience includes four years in Mitsui & Co., Ltd.’s global internal information systems division where he led several system integration and application development projects. Mr. Takeuchi’s career also includes three years as a derivatives trading risk manager in Mitsui’s Commodity Trading and Risk Management Division. During that time he was also a manager of the e-procurement ASP business for major Japanese manufacturing companies and venture investments in new IT companies in Japan. Following that he spent two years as a vice president of Mitsui's venture capital subsidiary, MVC Corporation in Tokyo. In MVC, he invested in IT startups in Japan, China and the United States with active board participation. He holds a Masters in Engineering from Tokyo’s Waseda University Graduate School, majoring in Computer Science, object oriented requirement analysis and artificial intelligence. Mr. Takeuchi is a chartered member of the Security Analyst Association of Japan.

Mr. Koide has almost 10 years experience in building new businesses. He is stationed in MCVP's Tokyo office while engaged in investings in the United States. Mr. Koide also provides assistance and hands-on support to MCVP's U.S. portfolio companies seeking to enter the Japanese market in terms of strategy, sales, marketing, business development, recruiting, tax, legal and other areas to help build a business in Japan. Prior to joining MCVP, he was a Sales Manager responsible for creating new fabric export businesses within Mitsui Textile Co.,& Ltd. His experience includes time working in the United States. He has a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Waseda University in Japan.

Before joining MCVP team Mr. Siewierski was an Executive Director at NTT DoCoMo including 6 years in Japan and 3 years in the UK. After participating in the carrier’s IPO at Tokyo Stock Exchange he coordinated DoCoMo’s international technology partnerships including the partnership with Sun Microsystems that brought Java to mobile phones. Developed a number of successful value added mobile services with partners such as Walt Disney Corporation, Warner Brothers, CNN and others. Mr. Siewierski executed a number of international equity investments in cellular carriers in Europe and Asia and initiated a number of technology licensing projects between DoCoMo and mobile operators such as KPN Mobile in Holland, Telefonica in Spain, Boygues Telecom in France and KG Telecom in Taiwan. Between 2004 and 2006 he was in charge of all new business in Europe. His previous experience includes consulting and technology research in the United States and Europe. A visiting lecturer at the University of Oxford, teaching telecommunications and judge in several technology awards programs, including Tech Pioneers of the World Economic Forum in Davos and Mobile Innovation Awards of the GSM Association. Holds M.A.L.D from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Tufts University/Harvard). Graduate courses in IT and International Marketing at the Harvard Business School.

Mr. Gitto has more than 20 years experience in finance and accounting. He joined the team in June 2001 after seven years at Soros Fund Management in their private equity and real estate sections. Mr. Gitto handled the treasury, accounting and tax functions at Soros for a private equity fund, an offshore hedge fund and various real estate investments including a joint venture with UBS/Paine Webber. His previous experience includes public and private accounting work in the real estate industry, the Finance Division of Chase Manhattan Bank and professor of accounting at the City University of New York. Mr. Gitto holds a MBA in Finance & Banking from Pace University.

Mr. See has over 20 years experience in venture capital, M&A, and LBOs. He helped start Mitsui’s Private Equity Department in 1997 and has invested in over 25 companies in telecommunications, software, and Internet infrastructure. He is involved in the convergence of telecommunications and the Internet, particularly new business modalities as companies move functions to the Internet. Within telecom he has focused on equipment, sub-systems, and component companies, as well as various areas in the telecommunications topology: core, MAN, and access/edge. His investments have included: Plumtree Software, Promatory Communications, Array Biopharma, Mahi Networks, Celion, Luxn, BeamReach, Nexsi, ChemConnect, and TradeCard. Previously, he oversaw Mitsui's US network of over 100 subsidiaries, and executed acquisitions, investments, and divestitures. Mr. See's experience also includes work for Citicorp, where he managed a $1.6 billion portfolio related to major investment banks; the Bank of New York, where he grew the middle market service industry portfolio by 29%; and Chase Manhattan Bank, where he originated investment banking and corporate finance deals totaling $5.4 billion. In addition, he has coordinated senior loans, mezzanine debt, and direct equity ownership. Mr. See holds a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College.

Mr. Kawahara has over 12 years experience in various IT industries, including his previous work for Mitsui’s global internal information, communication systems and enterprise software businesses. His most recent work has been in the Application Service Provider business for e-mail systems. Mr. Kawahara was a key person in establishing the joint venture between Mitsui, Critical Path, NTT Communications and NEC. Within that joint venture he held the positions of VP of Sales Engineering and Deputy CIO. Mr. Kawahara also provides assistance to start-up companies looking to expand their business globally using his previous experiences and relationship with Japanese companies in the IT world. Present board memberships include Boingo Wireless, Laszlo Systems, and NetMotion Wireless. He is also actively involved with Firetide and Kineto Wireless. He holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Nagoya University.

Dr.Yoshiyuki Ishii is a venture partner focusing on clean technology investments. He has been seconded from ASAHI KASEI Chemicals since September 2008 as a part of collaboration between Mitsui Ventures and ASAHI KASEI Group. His specialty fields are electrochemistry, polymer physics and polymer chemistry. Dr. Ishii has 20 years experience doing research and development of electronic materials and battery materials.
