Sensage Wins Editors Choice Award From Computer Technology Review; Earns Five-Star Rating From SC Magazine

Recent Rave Reviews from Customers, Partners and Media Confirm SenSage's Leadership in Log Management and Security Analytics

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - April 18, 2006 - Building upon rave reviews from customers, partners and the media, SenSage today announced that two more industry trade magazines have authored exemplary reviews that further affirm SenSage's leadership in log management and enterprise security analytics.

The hands-on reviews, published in the March/April issue of Computer Technology Review and the March issue of SC Magazine, reinforce consistent findings of usability, high performance, optimized storage and scalability - desired features for security decision support systems. SenSage enterprise security analytics software received similar praise by a Computer Reseller News review published in November that awarded SenSage with its "CRN Test Center Recommended" seal of approval.

The most recent evaluation by Computer Technology Review gave SenSage its highest honor, Editor's Choice, in a comprehensive assessment of SenSage's Security Compliance Bundle featuring EMC Centera. Beyond extensive analysis, compressed-storage and broad log source support, the magazine praised SenSage for its unique ability to combine real-time event correlation with historic event analysis. The appraisal further illustrated the compelling value proposition of teaming scalable security analytics and enterprise-class managed storage.

SenSage also received strong commendations in the March issue of SC Magazine, one of the information security industry's most respected sources for evaluating security solutions. The editors honored SenSage with its maximum score for features and performance, while rating the overall solution four out of five stars. SC Magazine also complimented SenSage's performance, availability and reporting capabilities.

Event data, which is generated by operating systems, security solutions, network devices and business applications, represent a rich information asset. To lower the risks of failed audits, system downtime, internal security violations and sensitive data leakage, customers must monitor, retain and assess greater volumes of event log data - which often compromises the operation and expenditures of conventional homegrown and SIM approaches. As the reviews noted, SenSage's security information management (SIM) solution helps companies achieve compliance with government and industry-specific regulations, as well as streamline monitoring and audit processes that require optimized event log management and analysis.

"All three reviews highlighted our unique and well-proven event database architecture and analytics which yield superior performance, analysis and scale consistency," said Scott Gordon, vice president of worldwide marketing at SenSage. "By bridging real-time incident and system monitoring with deep and wide forensic analysis, customers can yield unprecedented productivity and insight as their security requirements, coverage and data volumes evolve."
